Day 16: St. Cloud, MN to Minneapolis, MN

This post is coming a day late, but I was just too exhausted last night from the heat. Today is even more of a scorcher (humid with a high of 93 or 94), so I’m taking a rest day in Minneapolis, which also means I’ll give a bit of a rundown of today.

Day 15: Alexandria, MN to St. Cloud, MN

Today my luck with the weather finally gave out. The forecast had a storm hitting Alexandria in the morning, but it said Sauk Centre, 25 miles east of Alexandria, was supposed to remain dry until the afternoon. But, in the words of Marty McFly, since when can weathermen predict the weather?

Day 10: Dickinson, ND to Richardton, ND via Theodore Roosevelt National Park

Well, thanks to all that skipping ahead yesterday, I wound up with some very odd routing today.

Remember, if it had been up to me I would have returned the rental car in Montana so I could bike into North Dakota. Instead, I wound up 60 miles into ND and was past TRNP, which I really wanted to see as one of the highlights of my trip. So the first order of business was backtracking 30 miles to visit the national park. Except the truly first order of business was returning the rental car at the airport.
